An Adventure in Bible Memorization
Super Swordsman is FPC Kids’ Bible memorization program for children in grades 1–5, designed as a fun, gamified journey that helps kids build the life-changing habit of hiding God’s Word in their hearts. Throughout the school year, children progress along a themed map and collect keepsakes that mark their growth—making Scripture memory memorable, motivating, and meaningful.
Beyond the fun, Super Swordsman strengthens discipleship at home and church by giving families a clear path to practice Scripture together. The year culminates with a special recognition ceremony in the main sanctuary, celebrating every participant’s dedication to learning God’s Word.
How it Works
Find out what to expect
Discover each week's memory verse by downloading the Super Swordsmen booklet.
- Register at the Super Swordsman table (just outside the FPC Kids check-in area).
- Receive your lanyard and add your Super Swordsman character to the map.
- Pick up the Memory Verse Booklet at the table.
- Memorize the verse during the week.
- Check in on Sunday at the Super Swordsman table and recite the verse to a leader.\Advance your character to the next spot on the map when you recite successfully.
- Collect a new pin for your lanyard each time you pass a section.
- Repeat weekly through the school year.
Celebrate at the end-of-year Super Swordsman recognition ceremony in the main sanctuary.
