This campaign ensures we create a safe, dynamic, and dedicated space designed specifically for our children and students to encounter Jesus and build foundational faith. Effective ministry requires equipped and empowered leaders. What is "The Time is Now?"
THE TIME IS NOW is Focal Point Church’s capital campaign to raise funds for a vital facility expansion. Our vision is clear: to create the space needed to reach more people, disciple more believers, and continue to advance the mission God has given us.
Why is this expansion necessary?
Since moving into our Phase I building, we have experienced remarkable growth—from 240 to over 1,000 in our Weekend Services! This growth is a beautiful problem and a testimony to God’s work. To keep up with this rate of growth and to continue effectively training, equipping, and receiving the harvest of souls, we must expand. This expansion will be our platform to reach further into our region and the nations!
How big will the new sanctuary be?
Our new sanctuary will seat 748 people, which is about 450 more than our current capacity. This larger space will allow us to welcome every person God sends our way!
What will happen to the Kids and Youth ministries?
This expansion is for the whole family! Our current facility will be renovated and dedicated to better fit the expected growth of both our Kids and Youth ministries. The former sanctuary space will be shared by both ministries to best accommodate their growth and provide exceptional space in the new NXT GEN Sanctuary.
Will the expansion include more classroom and meeting space?
Yes, we will now have three classrooms with much larger capacity. In addition, we will have classrooms that will provide opportunities for mid-week gatherings. This is vital for hosting Growth Groups, classes, and various ministry meetings, ensuring discipleship continues to flourish.
Will there be a kitchen?
While we will not have a commercial-size kitchen, we will have a dedicated Food-Prep Room equipped with supplies, appliances, and a refrigerator to better prepare for events and special hospitality occasions. We will have a dedicated Cafe space which can be utilized during our services and special events.
Does the church give to other areas?
Absolutely! Focal Point Church is committed to being a generous church. As a church, we faithfully tithe 10% of our offerings to support various local and global missions.
How much are we trying to raise?
Our faith-filled goal is to raise at least $2,500,000 as part of a three-year pledge commitment to THE TIME IS NOW.
What is the overall cost of the project?
The overall project is projected to cost $9.1 million. This breaks down to approximately $6.1 million for construction and $3 million for civil design, architectural fees, permits, audio/visual engineering, soft costs, and more.
Why does it cost that much?
We recognize this is a significant number. Construction costs, particularly in Florida, are currently at a higher rate than in previous years. We have made every effort to partner with consultants to maximize value and ensure that every dollar is spent wisely, investing in a lasting platform for ministry.
Are we going into debt for this project?
Yes. Debt is a step we approach with prayerful caution and seriousness. We spend money conservatively and have a history of God’s provision. We have only gone into debt three times in our history, and each time, God has miraculously blessed and provided for an early payoff. We are moving forward with unity from our Board, Elders, and Pastors, trusting that God will move again as we take this step of faith to accommodate the growth He has sent us.
Who is being asked to participate in THE TIME IS NOW?
Everyone is invited to participate! We are specifically calling on our committed members, regular attenders, and anyone who considers Focal Point Church their spiritual home to join us in this sacrificial offering.
Does my gift to the campaign count towards my regular tithe?
No. Your faithful tithe will continue to support Focal Point Church’s general budget, sustaining our weekly ministries and operations. 100% of your offering for THE TIME IS NOW will be specifically designated for the building fund.
What if we do not reach the $2,500,000 goal?
We are trusting God to help us meet this mark! We believe in the power of unified generosity. Anytime we face an obstacle, our response is to trust in the Lord and lean into the vision He has given us. We move forward with faith, knowing He is faithful to complete the good work He started.
How should I give my offering?
Giving is a personal act of worship. Some people may feel led to give a large sum right away from bonuses or savings. Others will make a pledge to give periodically (monthly, quarterly, or annually) over the next three years of the campaign. The method is entirely up to you, we encourage you to pray and follow the way the Lord is leading you and your family!

When will construction start, and when will we be in the new facilities?
We are excited about the timeline! Construction is currently projected to start in summer 2026. Contractors are projecting that we should be able to occupy our expanded facilities near the middle or end of 2027. (Please note that construction timelines are always subject to variables, but we are moving forward with great expectation!)
