Discipleship: Our hope is to see the Holy Spirit gain total control of our lives. As we give ourselves fully to Christ and surrender ourselves to Him, we believe that he will strengthen us, empower us, and use us to bring forth a greater manifestation of the Kingdom of God in our lives, family, and city.
To help people come into the reality of the abundant life that is available through Christ’s death and resurrection, we offer classes and other opportunities that help us surrender to the Christ life. Some of these are described below.
Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God:
This class, which uses a workbook written by Henry Blackaby, helps people understand how to have a deeper, more meaningful personal relationship with God and to know his will in their lives.
Encounter God Weekends:
These weekend retreats provide the place, time, and opportunity for people to spend personal, devoted time with God, helping them move beyond their present spiritual state and into a stronger, more intimate relationship with him.
At Encounter God Weekends, people begin to experience the freedom that only Christ can give, including
Breakthroughs in their relationship with God
Physical and emotional healing
Breaking of hurtful thought and behavioral patterns
Release from strongholds and sin patterns
Mending of broken relationships
Walking in greater dependency and power of Holy Spirit
Those who attend Encounter God Weekends come away with a deeper knowledge of God and his love for them, and many come away with dramatic stories of their own personal encounters with him.
